Special Message from the Sunrise Preservation Group

As the Sunrise marquee says, "We are all in this together." With that in mind, we'd like to remind our wonderful patrons that our beloved community theater will take a major financial bruising from the COVID-19 crisis. The longer we are forced to keep our doors closed, the more severe the financial impact will be, making it difficult to bounce back when this nightmare finally ends.

Many of our scheduled shows including the Met Operas, Bolshoi Ballets, live concerts, movies, and stage performances, have had to be rescheduled or cancelled. The Sunrise has already spent considerable amounts of money for these programs, most of which we won’t be able to get back.

Please keep this in mind and consider not asking for refunds if you have already purchased tickets for the Sunrise events. At the end of this, we'll want our theater back and its doors wide open.

You can help with this effort:

- If your events have been cancelled, consider donating the ticket price to the theater.

- Buy gift cards to use later.

- Consider moving up any donations that you had planned on giving to the Sunrise Theater.

Thank you and stay safe,

Geoff Cutler
Sunrise Preservation Group President

Donations can be made online, by phone or mailed to 244 NW Broad Street, Southern Pines, NC 28387. Thank you for your support!
