Arts Council of Moore County presents the Classical Concert Series - Bringing the best classical musicians to Moore County for 30 years.
CAROLINE GOULDING, VIOLIN Monday, October 24, 2011 – 8 PM Sunrise Theater, Southern Pines
Though still in her teens, violinist Caroline Goulding has already achieved musical dreams that most artists take a lifetime to accomplish. She has appeared as soloist with many of America’s best orchestras, debuted at Carnegie Hall, been featured on NBC, NPR, and PBS, won first prize in the 2009-10 Young Concert Artists International Auditions, and her debut recording received a Grammy nomination for Best Solo Instrumentalist (without orchestra). Caroline began studying the violin at the age of three-and-a-half under the tutelage of Julia Kurtyka and continued her studies with Paul Kantor. She currently attends the Cleveland Institute of Music where she studies with Joel Smirnoff.
