Sunrise Theater Summer Camp (Wed. 7 Aug, 2019 9:00 am)

Sunrise Theater Camp - Kidflix: Movies & Music

SumerCamp Logo Color v2Theater camps are returning to the Sunrise Theater this summer with a series of three one-week camps divided by grades, each with a different theme. Camps include singing, acting, and movement lessons under the guidance of an experienced theater director, assistant director, and staff of talented student volunteers.

Children will learn and rehearse on the Sunrise Stage, Monday through Friday, 9am to noon. The camps will finish with two performances on the Sunrise stages Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Theater camps are great fun and teach valuable life skills like respect, public speaking and creative thinking while building the camper’s confidence. The community is invited to attend camp performances and cheer on these young entertainers.

Camp 3, August 5-10 is for rising 3-5 graders. With the theme of Kid Flix, Camp 3 features music from the movies that kids love including Zootopia, Polar Express, Monsters Inc., Spider Man, Moana, and The Peanuts Movie.

High school and college students with experience in dance, music, or theater are encouraged to apply for volunteer positions. Applications are available online or at the Sunrise Theater office.

Registration for each camp is $150. Applications are available at SunriseTheater.com, at the Sunrise Theater office, or by calling 910-692-3611. Parents and grandparents may stop by the Sunrise Theater office at 244 NW Broad Street, Southern Pines, to drop off your camper’s application and registration.

A special Thank You to our camp sponsors - Sandhills Pediatrics, This Little Piggy Baby & Children's Boutique, and Rugg Rats for their support.
