The Doug Prescott Band!
The Doug Prescott Band (DPB) first started in 1996 as a musical project between friends. Ever evolving through the bands 27 years, the band is now a comprised of eight masterful musicians, who are adept at playing a variety of musical genres, for example Americana folk tunes, blues, R&B, funk, rock & roll.
DPB remains visible to our fan base through social media e.g., Facebook, ReverbNation, and serving the community by performing benefit concerts and musical projects to bring about awareness. The band stays visible to the community by consistently creating new music released on CD’s and played live. The band’s recordings and live performances connect with their audiences by touching their souls through the music. The band’s philosophy is that (Music) should enrich the soul; it should teach spirituality by showing a person a portion of himself that they would not discover otherwise. That is the real mission of art. The artist must find something within himself that is universal and which he can put into terms that are communicable to the audience. The magic of it is that art can communicate to a person without his realizing it…enrichment, that is the function of music.
